Elizabeth Dubois, founder of Satori Intelligence Ltd in Kent, has won Silver in the ‘Best New Business’ category at the Best Businesswomen Awards 2026.
The award was announced at the national final on 16 October at the Daventry Court Hotel, recognising Elizabeth’s achievements in building a specialist investigations firm serving the UK legal, commercial and insolvency sectors.
Satori Intelligence provides intelligence reports covering asset tracing, people tracing, due diligence, fraud investigations, cryptocurrency investigations, covert enquiries and more, for solicitors, insolvency practitioners, corporate clients, local councils, lenders and others. Founded in April 2025, the business has gone from strength to strength and, in a short space of time, has built a client base that includes many of the UK’s leading law firms and insolvency practitioners.
Elizabeth started the business after working in corporate intelligence and investigations firms, where she saw the limits of rigid, one-size-fits-all investigation packages. She set up Satori Intelligence to offer a more flexible, client-led alternative, with tiered and bespoke pricing built around each client’s matter. The approach has been incredibly well received, with clients returning for repeat instructions and much of the firm’s work now coming through referrals.
Elizabeth said: “Receiving national recognition so soon after founding the company means a great deal. Our clients, solicitors, corporate firms, insolvency practitioners and others, rely on work that is accurate, reliable, compliant and carefully thought through. It also matters to me that every client can access an investigation that fits both their requirements and their budget, so that there isn’t a barrier to getting answers. The work has a real impact, from investigating fraudsters and exposing corruption and money laundering to locating debtors, errant directors, missing beneficiaries and lost relatives, and it is incredibly rewarding to deliver work of a standard we are proud of. They say it takes a village, and that has proved true of starting a business. In the early days my husband, family and friends helped with everything from graphic design to marketing, and I’m very grateful for their support. I’m looking forward to building on this over the coming year.”
Founded in 2015, the Best Businesswomen Awards recognise female business owners and women leading charities across the UK. Winners are selected by an expert judging panel from hundreds of entries, with entrants required to demonstrate their achievements through supporting evidence.
Debbie Gilbert, founder and organiser of the Best Businesswomen Awards, said: “Behind every winning business is a woman on a mission who has taken risks, solved problems and worked hard to make her vision a reality. These awards recognise what those women have achieved and the difference their work makes to customers, communities and the people they employ.
“Our judges look for evidence of achievement. Receiving an award is a significant endorsement of the business each winner has built.”
Elizabeth added: “The next step for Satori Intelligence is growing the team, bringing in investigators and researchers who share the same standards and client-focused approach that have defined the firm from the start. Alongside that, I am developing strategic partnerships to broaden what we offer. For our clients, that means greater capacity, a wider range of expertise and the same considered, high-quality work they already rely on.”
